White Death, by McKay Jenkins. Three images, actually, of a massive avalanche off of the north face of King Peak.
The image in the binoculars is Ed Darack's photograph of King Peak, which he took a couple days after he shot that avalanche sequence used on the cover of "White Death." This stamp was released throughout Canada in March of 2003. This stamp was featured on the rear cover of Canada Post's annual philately (stamp aficianado) book.
